Mother's Day is approaching. Here are some ridiculous gift ideas I have seen advertised:
- a lawn mower (what? really?)
- a vacuum cleaner (in case you wanted to clean your teenager's dirty room)
- Bounce dryer sheets (Nothing says hey, Mom, thanks for doing my laundry...now go do some more better than a dryer sheet.)
- laundry detergent (see "Bounce dryer sheets")
- vitamins, both for women and seniors (Buy this and a package of dryer sheets to tell Mom how much you want her to continue doing your laundry well into your 30s - and her retirement years.)
- matching, and seriously ugly, mom and toddler outfits. (Let's just be clear: my clothes are cute for me; Nora's clothes are cute for her. We do not need to match. Ever.)
Husbands and children: you have been warned.
