It has been a busy few weeks since my last post. In addition to me starting to teach an online class, Nora has had some fun "firsts."
One: She was baptised the first weekend of July. We had a fun weekend with our families here to visit.
| She's not sure why everyone was paying attention to her, but thought that whatever is over there is pretty cool. |
| She and cousin Connor got to spend some quality time together, drooling on each other and sharing secrets. |
Two: She got her first handful of cake (by accident, while we were trying to take pictures).
| Then she cried because we wiped her hand off and wouldn't let her eat it. I guess we are pretty awful people for getting a cake for her baptism and then not letting her eat it. |
Three: She had her first trip to the zoo, with my brother and his family. Here's us:
| She was more concerned with eating the Bjorn than the elephants. |
Four: She went for a swim in the lake (more than just toes!)
| Why isn't the water warm like the bathtub? Geez, turn on the hot water already. |
Five: She had a couple of boat rides, the second with her new friend, Jake (son of my good friend from high school).
| Jake is pretty excited about the whole thing. Nora is wondering why she had to wear a hat. (You don't have any hair, baby!) |
| First boat ride |
Six: She started eating rice cereal around dinnertime each night.
| Delicious. And messy. |
Seven: She became an expert roller-over (one way, only, though). She rolls quickly and frequently from back to tummy. I've tried to upload a video, but it took too long.
