She is such a big girl, and on the move all the time. She pulls herself up easily now, and thanks in part to her Aunt M, she is thinking about taking some steps while holding onto furniture. She will occasionally take a step or two while holding our hands. Changing diapers is like trying to herd a cat, and getting her dressed is an event that requires space on the calendar. I've learned to put pants on her while she's crawling away, and we often save putting socks on until she's strapped in the carseat.
Ah da da da is a common conversation starter had at our house, and we especially love to hear it first thing in the morning when she's just waking up.
She eats solid food for breakfast and dinner, and sometimes has a little snack at lunchtime, just depending on the day. Her pediatrician recommended getting to 3 meals a day by nine months, so we'll start a true lunch soon. She does very well with pureed foods - her favorites are sweet potatoes, carrots, bananas, and avocados.
A few weeks ago, she also started giving kisses - big sloppy open mouth kisses, often accidentally planted on a nose or eye. It's the sweetest thing.
