This weekend we snuck in some last outings while the weather is still nice enough to be outside. Yesterday we went to the zoo with Nora's new buddy Alice and her awesome parents, and today we took a long walk through the neighborhood, stopping at the park for a swing and a few trips down the slide.
Nora liked the giraffes most, and also thought it was interesting when the gibbon ate the leaves within arm's reach of his exhibit.

She is especially hating naptime lately, fussing for awhile before finally (
finally) falling asleep. We go in every 5-10 minutes to reassure her that she's not alone. She just wants to be held or to go downstairs to play, but even if we go in and rock with her or even walk with her, she typically won't fall asleep until she's back in her crib on her own anyway. This can be pretty frustrating, and I always have to take a step back and say that if, in the grand scheme of things, this is the worst thing we've got right now, then we're pretty lucky.

Still no teeth, though we're always wondering if today's the day that one or two will be making an entrance.
She's starting to think about walking. She can stand alone for 20-30 seconds, but if she tries to take a step, she falls to sitting. It won't be long, though, I don't think. I wonder what else we'll have to babyproof!
